- What we collectYour name and email, plus anything you choose to add to a consultation request.
- Where it goesOur website host, Amazon Web Services (AWS), stores each request, and our office receives a copy by email.
- What this site doesn’t doNo cookies and no advertising trackers. Visits are counted without identifying you.
When you send a consultation request
Our consultation forms ask for your name and email address, and, if you choose, your company or firm name, a phone number, and a short message. When you send a request:
- Our website host stores it. The site runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which receives and stores each request, encrypted, in the United States.
- Our office receives a copy by email at lml@larsenbookkeeping.com.
- It’s added to our request log, a private Google Sheet that only we can open, where we note how each conversation went.
- You receive a short confirmation by email, sent through our email provider, Resend, with a link to a handout about how we work. It repeats nothing you wrote except your first name.
- Technical details are recorded with it: the page the request was sent from. The sending device's IP address and browser details are not stored.
- How you found us is noted with it: the first page you visited, the site that sent you there, and, if you came from an ad or a tagged link, its campaign tags and ad click ID. This is kept only in your browser tab until you send the form, so we can tell how people find us and which advertising brings requests.
We use your request to contact you about the consultation you asked for. Please don't include client, matter, or financial account details in the form; a short description is plenty.
Cookies and tracking
This website doesn’t set cookies, and it doesn’t load advertising trackers.
We count visits with Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies and collects no personal information. It records which pages are viewed, the site that referred a visit, and the browser, device type, and country, in totals only. Your IP address is used only to tell one visit from another and is never stored. It also counts a few steps, such as opening or sending the consultation form or tapping the phone number, without recording anything you type.
