What we collect
When you send the project form: your name, email, and anything you choose to add (your website, needs, budget, timing and message). The form also sends the first page you visited on this site, the website that referred you if any, and any estimate or site check results you chose to bring along. Forms are processed by our host, Amazon Web Services (AWS), stored encrypted in the US, and emailed to us.
When you email us: whatever is in your email.
When you use the free site check: the address you type is sent from your browser to Google PageSpeed Insights, which loads that public page to test it. Google’s privacy policy applies to that request. We don’t receive or store the address unless you send it with the project form.
What we don’t do
- No cookies. This site doesn’t set any.
- No advertising trackers, pixels or session recordings.
- No selling or sharing your details. No mailing lists.
What stays in your browser
To save you retyping, this site keeps a few things in your own browser: your light or dark theme choice, and, for the current tab only, your project form answers, estimate and site check results. Your answers and results are never sent anywhere unless you send the form, and they’re cleared when you close the tab (the theme choice stays until you clear your browser data).
Visitor statistics
We count visits with Plausible Analytics, a cookie-free service that doesn’t identify individual visitors. Your browser only talks to this site: our host passes each count on to Plausible. A count records the page, the site or search that sent you, your browser, device type and country, and which buttons and tools were used, such as switching to dark mode or finishing an estimate or site check (with its speed score). It never includes what you type, and Plausible doesn’t store IP addresses. Plausible keeps the counts in the EU, and only we can see them.
How long we keep it
Project inquiries are kept while we’re in touch about your project and for up to two years afterwards, then deleted. If you become a client, project records are kept as long as needed for the work and for tax and accounting rules.
