How fast is your website, really?

See how Google scores your site on a phone in about 30 seconds: speed, accessibility, best practices and SEO, with the top fixes in plain English.

  1. Step 1

    Enter your address

Any page you want to test.

  2. Step 2

Google tests it on a phone

About 30 seconds, on a simulated phone.

  3. Step 3

    Read the results

Four scores and the top fixes, in plain English.

What the scores mean

Four numbers, out of 100.

90 or more is good. 50 to 89 needs work. Under 50 is costing you visitors.

Performance

How quickly the page shows and responds on a mid-range phone with a so-so connection. Slow pages lose visitors before they read a word.

Accessibility

Whether everyone can use it: readable contrast, labeled buttons and fields, and a page that works with a keyboard or screen reader.

Best practices

Security and quality basics: HTTPS everywhere, scripts that run without errors, up-to-date code, and images shown at the right size.

SEO

Whether Google can read and list the page: a title and description, crawlable links, a phone-friendly layout and descriptive link text.

About the check

How the site check works.

Where do these numbers come from?

From Google’s own testing tool, PageSpeed Insights, which loads your page on a simulated mid-range phone. It’s the same test Google gives web developers, so you can compare our results with Google’s.

Why do my scores change between runs?

Network and server conditions vary a little each time, so performance can move a few points. Big swings usually mean the server is sometimes slow to answer.

Is a perfect 100 realistic?

Yes, for a well-built site. Every page of this site is built to score 100 in all four categories, and you can test it with the same tool.

Do you keep the address I check?

No. The test runs between your browser and Google. Your results stay in this browser tab, and reach us only if you choose to send them with the project form.

Low score? We can fix that.
