Diagnostics
Check engine light and electrical problems
A free code read gives you a number. Eric's professional scan tool shows the live data behind the code, so you get a real answer about what is wrong, in plain language.

Is the light flashing?
Stop driving as soon as it is safe to. A flashing light usually means a misfire that can damage the catalytic converter if you keep going. Then call Eric.
Is it steady?
Something needs attention, but it is usually safe to drive carefully until it is checked. Don't wait too long: some problems get worse and more expensive.
What a diagnosis includes
- Reading the trouble codes with a professional scan tool
- Live data, to see what is actually causing the code
- A visual inspection
- Electrical testing, including battery, starter and alternator
- A straight answer on what it needs, and a written estimate
The diagnostic fee covers testing time and is separate from the cost of any repair. Nothing is fixed until you approve it. How fees work.
How it works
Three simple steps
Call or text Eric
Tell him what the vehicle is doing and where it is parked. You can also book a time online.
Eric comes to you
He looks at the problem in your driveway or garage and gives you a written estimate.
You say yes, he fixes it
Nothing is repaired until you approve it. You pay when the work is done.
Problems Eric has tracked down
He spent the time to diagnose and determined that air was stuck in the radiator and was able to bleed the radiator he also examined the car throughout. I highly recommend his services he is well equipped and knowledgeable
My husband had electrical issues with his work van. We found Eric on Google and gave him a call.
He came to the house the next day, on time as scheduled. Diagnosed the problem and explained everything and took care of the issue very quickly.
Eric quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and had the car fixed within the day. His work and communication were stellar. We would definitely call him again and highly recommend his service.
Eric pulled up with what I will describe as shiny new white step van loaded with every piece of tools and state of the art electric diagnostic equipment necessary to work on all makes, models and years of vehicles.
When he finished the car started and now runs as it did when new. The price was surprisingly great.
Check engine light questions
Can I keep driving with the check engine light on?
If it is steady (not flashing) and the car is running normally, usually yes for a short while, but get it scanned soon rather than waiting for it to get worse.
Will a loose gas cap really turn the light on?
Yes. It is one of the most common and least serious causes. Tighten it, and if the light doesn't go off within a day or two of driving, it is something else.
Can you diagnose it in my driveway?
Yes, that is exactly what the scan tool is for. Eric reads the codes, checks the live data behind them, and tells you what it actually needs.
