What your neighbors say
In their own words
Great service, really nice guy. Very honest. We live in the Villages and it often feels like people try to take advantage of us because we're older. He didnt!!
Battery dead in the garage, Eric (the same day) brought the correct battery, installed it, scanned to make sure there was no other trouble and charged a reasonable fee for the battery and labor
Eric is now my auto and golf cart mechanic
Eric was great to deal with. He got here and jumped right into fixing my cart. Very polite and honest. I would definitely call him again. He got here right when he said he would.
Needed my brakes and rotors fixed this week, and he came out and did his magic in less than an hour, I would highly recommend going to this mobile mechanic for any work needed.
I had Eric inspect a used car prior to my purchase. He was thorough and answered all my questions. He handled the seller very professionally when she asked him some inappropriate questions about his opinion of the asking price on the car.

What Eric fixes
If it has an engine, Eric can probably fix it at your home

Golf carts
Batteries, corroded terminals, brakes, lights and carts that won't start after sitting. Most of it is done right in your driveway.

Cars and SUVs
Tune-ups, oil changes, brakes, batteries, starters and alternators, filters, wipers and bulbs, all done at your home.

Trucks and diesels
Gas or diesel, Eric works on pickups, vans and work trucks too, including business vehicles that need to get back on the job.

Classic cars
Carburetors, points ignition and older wiring. Your classic doesn't have to ride a flatbed to get looked at.

Check engine light
A professional scan tool reads the code and the live data behind it, so you know what the light means before anything is replaced.
Tractors, riding mowers and lawn mowers too. See every service

Where Eric works
- The Villages
- Lady Lake
- Oxford
- Wildwood
Plus the surrounding parts of Sumter County and Lake County. Not sure if you are in the area? Just call and ask.
How much does a visit cost?
Every home visit has a service call fee, which depends on your location. Testing to find a problem is billed separately from the repair. You get a written estimate and Eric asks for your OK before any repair. Details are on the prices and policies page.
What are your hours?
Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Closed Sunday. Emergency and after-hours visits (Monday to Friday 5 PM to 7 AM, and all day Saturday and Sunday) have an extra fee.
Can I buy my own parts?
Eric is happy to install parts you supply when possible. A higher labor rate applies, and parts you supply are not covered by any parts or labor warranty.
Are there jobs you send to a shop?
Yes. Work that needs a lift for a long time, like full alignments, plus bodywork, frame work, paint, and some transmission rebuilds, is better done in a shop. Eric will tell you honestly if your job is one of them.
Car, truck or golf cart acting up?
Call or text Eric. Not sure what to say? Tap what it is doing below.
What is it doing?
When a car won't start
- Nothing at all, or one click, and a dim dome light: most likely the battery, especially after the car sat a week or two.
- Rapid clicking or grinding, but the lights and radio work: that points to the starter.
- It started, then died again soon after: usually the alternator.
Eric tests the battery, starter and alternator right in your driveway.
When the check engine light comes on
- Steady: something needs attention. It is usually safe to drive carefully to get it checked soon.
- Flashing: stop driving as soon as it is safe. It often means a misfire.
- A loose gas cap is one of the most common causes. Tighten it; if the light stays on after a day or two of driving, it is something else.
His professional scan tool reads the code and the live data behind it, so you know what the light means before anything is replaced.
When the brakes make noise
- A high-pitched squeal is often dust or glazing on the brake parts.
- Grinding usually means worn parts are touching metal they shouldn't.
- A spongy pedal, or one side grabbing harder, is worth a look soon. Brakes are not one to put off.
Eric checks brakes where the car or golf cart is parked.
When a golf cart won't go
- Look at the battery terminals. White, blue-green or crusty buildup is very likely the problem. Don't scrape it with metal or pour anything on it.
- Clean terminals and still dead: a weak cell, the solenoid connection, a tripped breaker, or on older carts the charger.
- Florida heat drains cart batteries faster while they sit.
Most of it is fixed right in your driveway.
Before you buy a used car
- Have Eric look it over before you pay.
- He can meet the car where the seller has it.
Tell Eric what's going on
- What the vehicle is doing, and when it started.
- Where it is parked.
- A photo of the problem helps.
