Prices and policies

How pricing works, in plain words

Every job is different, so Eric quotes each one. These are the rules he works by, so you know what to expect before he arrives.

The rules

Six rules Eric works by

The same on every job, so you know what to expect before he arrives.

  1. Estimate and approval first

You get a written estimate, and Eric always gets your approval before completing any repair. If he finds something else along the way, he tells you, and you decide.

  2. Parts and warranty

Eric uses OEM or OEM-quality parts. All parts he supplies come with a 30-day warranty.

  3. Service call and diagnostic fees

A service call fee applies to every home visit, depending on your location. Diagnostic fees cover testing time and expertise, and are separate from repair costs.

  4. Parts you buy yourself

Eric is happy to install parts you supply when possible. A higher labor rate applies, and customer-supplied parts are not covered by any parts or labor warranty.

  5. Evenings, weekends and emergencies

Emergency or after-hours visits include an additional fee. After hours means Monday to Friday from 5 PM to 7 AM, and all day Saturday and Sunday.

  6. Payment

Payment is due when the work is completed, unless you arrange otherwise with Eric ahead of time.

Why a driveway repair can cost less

A shop has rent, a service writer and a waiting room to pay for, and that is built into its hourly rate. A mobile mechanic working from a fully equipped van has lower overhead, which can mean a fairer price for the same repair.

And you don't pay for a tow, or lose a day getting rides to and from a shop.

Very reasonable and does a great job. Does not try to over charge or rip people off. Very nice & honest man. Would recommend to anyone!
